360° Rendering

This section is designed for professionals from diverse industries who depend on detailed visualisations to convey and enhance their designs. Here, you'll discover how to harness the power of 360° technology to bring your projects to life, allowing stakeholders to experience every aspect of your work in full detail. Whether you're in architecture, design, or any field where visual precision matters, mastering 360° content will transform how you present and collaborate on your projects.
360° renders and images provide a unique experience that goes beyond traditional static imagery. They allow viewers to virtually step inside the design, exploring every angle and detail as if they were physically present. This capability is invaluable for understanding spatial relationships and the interplay of materials and light within a space. Unlike static images, 360° content invites interaction, giving users the power to explore and manipulate their view to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project.

Software Capabilities

Here’s a look at the tools you have at your disposal, across BIM, CAD and specialised rendering or image software, each offering unique features for creating panoramic views.

BIM Software

  1. Autodesk Revit: Use "Render in Cloud" for panoramic views, downloadable via Autodesk account.
  2. Graphisoft ArchiCAD: Render panoramic views using built-in tools, export as image files or to BIMx for interactive visualisations.
  3. Bentley Systems MicroStation: Render with Luxology renderer, export panoramic images directly.
  4. Bentley Systems AECOsim Building Designer: Known for robust BIM capabilities tailored to architectural and engineering disciplines

CAD Software

  1. SketchUp with V-Ray: Set up V-Ray panoramic camera settings, render and save the image.
  2. Rhino with V-Ray: Configure V-Ray panoramic camera, render your scene and save the image.
  3. Vectorworks: Use Renderworks to render panoramic views and export directly from the program.
  4. Chief Architect: Render using the 360° panorama feature, upload to Chief Architect 360° Cloud Viewer.
  5. AutoCAD: Widely used for its powerful drafting and modelling capabilities, integrates with various rendering tools for panoramic views.

Rendering Software

  1. Enscape: Use the "Render Panorama" feature to create and directly download web-based or local files.
  2. Lumion: Utilise panorama mode in Photo or Movie mode to render and directly export.
  3. V-Ray: Employ panoramic camera settings in tools like SketchUp, Revit, and 3ds Max to render and export panoramas.
  4. Unreal Engine: Use the Panoramic Capture plugin to capture scenes and save images directly.
  5. Blender: Adjust the camera to panoramic equirectangular settings, render, and save using Blender’s image editor.
  6. 3DS Max with V-Ray: Set the camera to spherical mode, render, and directly export the panorama.
  7. Cinema 4D: Setup a panoramic camera, render using Cinema 4D’s tools, and export directly.
  8. Twinmotion: Create panoramas via the Media dock, render, and export the image to local storage.
