Projects

Projects

Projects are the main way to organise and distribute your 360° content to audiences. You can create a project and set a name, address and assign them to a client360 Manage create a project page

Projects can be edited by selecting it in the "Projects" list. From there, click the three-dot menu and select "Edit project details".

A project consists of the following:

  1. A name
  2. An address
  3. An optional client
  4. A collection of assigned views
  5. A collection of assigned flat images
  6. A collection of resources
  7. A collection of assigned users

Creating a new project

To create a client, click "Projects" from the home page or sidebar. Then, click "Create project".

Client

Projects can be assigned to clients. This allows for projects to be properly sorted when viewing them in 360 View.

Clients are optional and do not need to be set when creating or edit a project, and can be changed at any time.

Views

Views are containers that hold 360° images. Views can only be created under an existing project.

To create views, click "Create 360° views" under the views accordion while editing a project. To edit an existing view, click on it and a form will be presented allowing for edits to be made.

For more information, see Views

Flat images

Flat images are containers that hold standard images related to the project. Like views, flat images can only be created under an existing project.

To create flat images, click "Create flat images" under the flat image accordion while editing a project. To edit an existing flat image, click on it in the list and a form will be presented allowing for edits to be made.

For more information, see Flat images

Resources

Resources are a way to attach documents or links to a project. These resources might be a floor plan, design document, a link to external files, or a web page with further information about a project.

Each resource can have a minimum allowed user role set, which will cause the resource to not be shown in 360 View if the user who has signed in has a lower role than the minimum.

For example: if a floor plan document is added, and the minimum role for this document is set to Manager, users with the Manager, Owner and Administrator roles will see the document in 360 View. However, any users with Contributor or Viewer role will not see the document.

There are some limitations to what can be uploaded:

  • Links must use the HTTPS protocol, and as such must start with "https://". For more information on the HTTPS protocol, see this article by CloudFlare
  • Document uploads are limited to the .pdf file format, and cannot be larger than 10 MB

Users

Similar to views, users can be assigned to a project. Assigned users have access to all views that are assigned to this project.

  • New users can be invited and directly assigned by clicking "Invite user".
  • Existing users can be assigned to the project by ticking their entry in the list and clicking "Save changes".

These are the people that will be looking at your various projects, views and resources, but they can also help you manage the various content on 360 Manage. They could also be co-workers, friends, family... anyone who might help you manage your projects.

Users can be assigned one of the following roles:

  1. Owner
  2. Administrator
  3. Manager
  4. Contributor
  5. Viewer

Editing an existing project

Select a project under the "Projects" list to edit it. This will bring up a page with the information and assignments for the project pre-filled. To edit project information, click "Edit details".

Sharing a project

Projects can be shared with others via a QR code or a direct link. While editing a project, click the "Sharing" button to bring up a window that will allow you to view the QR code. This can be downloaded and shared with others.

If you prefer to share a direct link instead, click "Copy link" in the share window.

Projects can also be shared from 360 View.

Managing status of a project

Projects can have a permission applied to them that restricts who can access the project and its content via the QR code or direct link. The status must be one of the following:
  1. Public: anyone who scans the QR code is able to see this project and its content
  2. Private: only users with accounts who are assigned to this project can access the project and its content
Info
Views and flat images assigned to a project that have the "Inherit" status will take on the status set here.
